A journal for iPhone
A page a day,
under a painting.
hitoha is a small journal. You write a few lines, and the day keeps a little hand-drawn mark.
Write for today
One line is enough.
Open hitoha and say what the day held: what you saw, who you missed, the coffee you forgot on the windowsill. The page keeps the date and the time, and the weather if you'd like it to.
Your words take on the colours of the painting you've chosen, so even an ordinary Tuesday looks like something worth keeping.
The month
Every day you write leaves a mark.
When the page is written, a small doodle settles on that day of the month, in the inks of your painting. A day you skip stays a quiet dot. Nothing to catch up on.
Over the weeks, the calendar turns into a drawing only you could have made.
Some of the marks, drawn by hand for hitoha.
The paintings
Nine watercolours.
Every theme in hitoha began as a painting on paper, by the artist Zeynep Özdem Sözmen. The brush marks and the grain of the paper are all still there.
Choose one, and the journal borrows its colours: the writing, the doodle inks, even the app icon. Each painting carries a word for what it brings to a day.
